This year I have used the lab in my Chemistry class for reading material that I didn't like well in my book because the computer had interactive links for things like vocabulary and animated illustrations. Also the web site I used had an English Spanish translation. My tech innovations kids started right away with a word document to take Cornell notes. If I had my way I'd probably not use a textbook and use the internet for all reading and for some of the more dangerous experiments. In my Earth science class students are required to complete an end of chapter project which will always involve computer technology, either for the research or the end product. Our first project was a brochure of Colorado geology and the students used MS Office Publisher. Next time we are writing screen plays about Volcanoes.
